FundedNext Futures News-Trading Rules
FundedNext Futures does not impose restrictions on news trading.
This means you may:
▪️ Open positions during news events
▪️ Close positions during news events
▪️ Hold positions during news events
This applies during:
- Challenge Phase
- and the funded account
📌 This includes major economic releases such as:
- NFP
- CPI
- Interest-rate decisions
- FOMC
- GDP
However, the firm warns about:
▫️ Extreme volatility
▫️ Low liquidity
▫️ Slippage
▫️ Sudden moves during news events and geopolitical developments
Appropriate risk management is therefore recommended when trading during news events.
⚠️ Important Note:
Futures accounts do not have the News Profit Split rule that applies to FundedNext CFD accounts.

Account Rules
How Maximum Loss Limit Works ▼
Maximum Loss Limit (MLL) — FundedNext Futures
MLL is the maximum permitted account loss before a permanent breach. It uses Trailing End of Day Drawdown (EOD).
• It trails upward with profit.
• It updates once per day at end of day, not intraday.
• It never moves downward after losses.
• Once it reaches the account's starting balance, it stops trailing and becomes static.
For Bolt and Flex, the floor stops at the starting balance + $100.
---
The MLL defines the lowest permitted Equity. Although the floor updates only at end of day, touching it through floating loss causes an immediate permanent breach.
---
Example — $100K Legacy account
Starting balance: $100,000. MLL amount: $3,000. Initial floor: $97,000.
Day 1 close at $101,000: floor becomes $98,000.
Day 2 close at $103,000: floor becomes $100,000 and locks there.
Day 3 balance falls to $101,000: floor remains $100,000.
Day 4 balance rises to $106,000: floor still remains $100,000.
If Equity falls below the floor at any time, the account is permanently breached.
---
After the first Performance Reward
The MLL is set to the account's starting balance. Example: after the first payout on a $50K account, the floor becomes $50,000.
---
Bolt and Flex
Bolt stops at $50,100.
Flex stops at $50,100 for $50K, $100,100 for $100K, and $150,100 for $150K.
Daily Loss Limit — Bolt ▼
The Bolt Daily Loss Limit includes closed losses, floating losses, commissions, and trading fees.
On a $50K account, the daily limit is $1,000, so Equity must remain above $49,000.
Touching the limit causes a Soft Breach: trading is disabled for the rest of the day and automatically restored on the next trading day. The account is not permanently closed.
---
The next day's limit is calculated from the highest EOD balance.
Example: if the account closes at $51,500, the next day's threshold is $51,500 − $1,000 = $50,500.
If Equity reaches $50,500 or lower, a Soft Breach occurs.
Benchmark Days ▼
A Benchmark Day is a trading day that reaches the minimum required profit for the account size and is used to measure consistency and discipline.
No Benchmark Days are required during any FundedNext Futures challenge.
---
For payouts from Legacy Funded and Flex Funded accounts, at least five Benchmark Days are required.
Legacy
• $25K: at least $100 daily profit.
• $50K and $100K: at least $200 daily profit.
Flex
• $50K and $100K: at least $200 daily profit.
• $150K: at least $250 daily profit.
A day below the threshold does not count as a Benchmark Day, but its profit remains included and counts toward consistency calculations.
Consistency Rule — Challenge ▼
The consistency rule prevents passing through one unusually large profitable day and promotes stable trading.
The largest profitable day may not exceed 40% of the required total profit. If it does, the effective profit target increases.
---
Where it applies
Rapid: no consistency during challenge; consistency applies on the funded account.
Legacy: consistency during challenge; none on the funded account.
Bolt: consistency during challenge; none on the funded account.
Flex: consistency during challenge; none on the funded account.
---
Formula: 40% × Profit Target = maximum preferred daily profit.
Example — $50K Legacy or Bolt with a $3,000 target: the 40% amount is $1,200.
If one day produces $1,500, the new required total profit becomes $1,500 ÷ 40% = $3,750 instead of $3,000.
---
Rapid funded example:
Day 1: $1,500 total, ratio 100%, not compliant.
Day 2: $2,700 total, best day $1,500, ratio 55.5%, not compliant.
Day 3: $4,500 total, best day $1,800, ratio 40%, compliant.
Rapid may pass the challenge in one day; Legacy, Bolt, and Flex apply consistency during evaluation; Rapid applies it only when funded.
Consistency Rule — Funded ▼
A funded-stage consistency rule applies only to Rapid FundedNext Accounts. Legacy Funded and Bolt Funded accounts have no funded-stage consistency rule.
The largest profitable day may not exceed 40% of total profit.
Formula: (Largest profitable day ÷ Total profit) × 100.
• 40% or less: eligible for payout.
• Above 40%: not eligible for payout.
Example: $1,500 total after day one = 100%, not eligible. $2,700 total after day two = 55.5%, not eligible. $4,500 total with a best day of $1,800 = 40%, eligible.
Soft Breach vs. Hard Breach ▼
FundedNext Futures uses two breach types.
---
Soft Breach
Occurs when the Daily Loss Limit is reached. Trading is disabled for the rest of that day, the account remains open, and access returns automatically the next trading day.
---
Hard Breach
Occurs when the Maximum Loss Limit is broken. The account is closed permanently, trading cannot resume on that account, and a paid reset is required to return.
---
Floating losses count toward both limits. If account Equity touches the MLL, the account closes immediately.
Contract Limits ▼
FundedNext Futures does not use the traditional brokerage margin model.
There is no Initial Margin deposit, no personal capital deposit, and no traditional leverage structure.
Risk is controlled through Contract Limits: the permitted number of Mini and Micro contracts. The true trading limit is therefore the allowed contract count rather than a conventional margin amount.
DCA / Adding to Positions ▼
Dollar-Cost Averaging and adding positions during a trade are allowed when supported by clear risk management, logical use, and a sustainable plan.
Random position doubling, gambling-style averaging, or excessive unsustainable exposure may be treated as poor risk management or a violation.
2% Price Limit Rule ▼
CME price limits define the maximum permitted market move during a session. FundedNext Futures prohibits trading within the final 2% before that limit.
For index futures such as NQ, ES, and YM, a CME price limit may be 7%, so trading must stop before the final 2% zone.
Near a price limit, liquidity weakens, volatility rises, execution becomes unstable, and slippage can increase sharply.
Monitor % Net Change on the platform. Violations may lead to profit deductions, trading restrictions, or account suspension.
Disciplined Trader Program ▼
This monitoring and education program is for traders showing excessive risk, random trading, gambling-like behavior, repeated account breaches, or weak risk management.
A formal warning is issued before placement in the program.
---
While enrolled, traders must keep risk at or below 1% per trade, use a mandatory stop loss on every trade, avoid high-impact news trading, follow consistency and trading-day requirements, and understand that breaking the MLL permanently closes the account.
---
Existing accounts remain unchanged. New accounts opened after enrollment are limited to $50,000 total allocation.
---
Graduation requires five successfully completed trading cycles, $30,000 cumulative profit, and at least 15 profitable days, where a profitable day means $200 or more.
---
First violation: formal warning. Second: profit split reduced to 50/50. Third: account closure and loss of future allocations.
The program is presented as a way to rebuild discipline and professional risk management rather than as a punishment.
Micro-Scalping ▼
Micro-scalping means opening and closing a profitable trade in under 10 seconds to capture very small moves. Losing trades are not counted; the rule applies only to profitable trades.
The percentage of micro-scalping profit is measured against total cycle profit.
• 30%: warning.
• 40% or more: violation.
---
Challenge accounts
The account remains active, but the stage cannot be passed until the ratio falls below 40%. The restriction is removed automatically without contacting support.
---
Funded accounts
All micro-scalping profit generated during that cycle is deducted. The account stays active, but future profit from the same method may also be removed.
If micro-scalping profit equals or exceeds net cycle profit, no payout is available for that cycle and the payout option is temporarily disabled.
Overnight and Weekend Holding ▼
Overnight and weekend holding are not allowed.
All positions must be closed by 3:10 p.m. CT / 10:10 p.m. Baghdad and Mecca time (GMT+3). Unclosed positions are closed automatically by the system.
Trading reopens daily at 12:00 midnight Baghdad / Mecca time, and after weekends it reopens Sunday evening.
This applies to challenge and funded stages across all Futures plans.
Maximum Allocation ▼
Challenge accounts
Maximum allocation is $700,000. Up to 15 challenges may be purchased per month. Resets are unlimited within the allocation cap. Different sizes such as $25K, $50K, and $100K may be combined.
---
FundedNext Accounts
A maximum of five active funded accounts is allowed. The limit also applies across the same person or members of the same household / IP.
Once the maximum is reached, any newly passed funded account is placed on hold until a slot becomes available.
Expert Advisors / Automated Trading ▼
Expert Advisors, bots, and automated systems are allowed in both challenge and funded stages.
FundedNext does not provide setup or troubleshooting support, and the trader is responsible for technical or execution problems.
Automated trading may not exploit the platform or data speed. Prohibited examples include stale-price exploitation, order flooding, latency arbitrage, and exploitative high-frequency trading.
VPN | VPS ▼
VPN and VPS use is allowed during both challenge and funded stages.
Repeated or unusual IP changes may trigger a request for additional identity documents. Activity must remain normal and consistent with the account holder's information.
Inactivity Rule ▼
Evaluation accounts close permanently after seven days without a trade.
Funded accounts close permanently after 30 days without a trade.
KYC ▼
National ID, passport, or driving licence.
A selfie is also required.
Live Funded Account ▼
Live Funded is an advanced stage that moves the trader from simulated accounts to a real live trading account.
Eligibility requires $100,000 in active cumulative Futures profit.
---
Key terms include live trading, an 80% profit split, a $100 minimum payout, and at least $500 of new profit between payouts after the first payout.
---
The trader's 80% eligible share is allocated as follows: 50% cash payout, 25% added to the live account, and the remainder placed in Reserve.
---
For the first $10,000 of payouts, Reserve replenishment is 100%. After that, replenishment becomes 50%.
---
The account uses a Static Equity Limit. Falling below it permanently closes the live account.
---
The full account balance may be withdrawn after 45 Benchmark Days, each requiring at least $150 daily profit. Full withdrawal closes the live account and ends any remaining Reserve.
Prohibited Strategies ▼
FundedNext Futures prohibits methods that exploit simulated trading, manipulate execution, or create unrealistic profits in either challenge or funded stages.
Possible consequences include warnings, profit deductions, suspension, or permanent closure.
---
Prohibited conduct includes platform-error exploitation, account sharing, account rolling or flipping, spam orders, slow-data-feed abuse, latency arbitrage, spoofing and layering, wash trading, reverse hedging, correlated-instrument hedging used to evade rules, abusive grid trading, gap or thin-market exploitation, trading within 2% of CME price limits, unauthorized copy or group trading, and unsustainable gambling-style risk.
---
Micro-Scalping
Normal scalping is allowed, but when 40% or more of profit comes from trades closed in under 10 seconds it becomes a violation. Challenge accounts receive a warning; funded accounts receive a warning plus deduction of the related profit.
---
DCA
DCA is allowed with a clear plan and genuine risk management. Continuous random averaging without an exit plan is considered poor risk management.
---
News trading, normal scalping, and EAs or bots are allowed when used within the rules.
